DRAFT Trackdesk vs TUNE: Pricing, Features and Migration Compared

Compare Trackdesk vs TUNE pricing, contracts, tracking, migration, commissions, payments, APIs and affiliate network features.

Trackdesk and TUNE both provide the infrastructure required to run an affiliate network, including affiliate and advertiser management, offer tracking, commissions, reporting, API access and payout workflows. The more meaningful differences appear in how the platforms price growth, structure contracts, handle migration and support newer operational workflows.

TUNE is an established partner marketing platform with unlimited active offers and partners on its Network plans, advanced commissioning, automation and extensive API access. Its published Network Enterprise plan costs $899 per month paid annually, while the higher Contract tier is individually priced.

Trackdesk uses a different commercial model. Standard Trackdesk Network pricing starts at $449 per month, monthly billing is available, and affiliate partners, advertisers, clicks and conversions are uncapped across the published Network plans. Growth and Network PLUS add unlimited offers, broader API access, white-label capabilities and higher levels of support and customization.

For affiliate networks, the decision therefore goes beyond whether both products can track a conversion. TUNE remains a capable option for teams that value a mature partner platform, while Trackdesk is highly competitive when predictable traffic economics, contract flexibility, migration support and operational automation matter more.

Product Scope

Both Trackdesk and TUNE are genuine affiliate network platforms rather than lightweight referral tools.

TUNE's architecture is built around partners, advertisers, offers and conversion tracking, with substantial control over targeting, payouts and campaign behavior. The current Network plans include real-time reporting, advanced targeting, fraud detection, performance automation, custom domains, automated event delivery, Partner API access and a Complete 2-Way API.

That makes TUNE particularly relevant to networks that already have technical infrastructure around the affiliate platform. A business can use the APIs to connect TUNE with internal applications, advertiser systems, reporting environments and other parts of its stack rather than relying exclusively on the administrative interface.

Trackdesk covers the same core network relationships but has developed around a somewhat different operating model. Network administrators can manage affiliates, advertisers, offers, tracking, commissions, settlements and reporting in one environment, while advertisers can receive their own restricted dashboards and access only the performance data associated with their accounts.

The published Network plans also make advertiser growth independent of a numerical account limit. Affiliates, advertisers, clicks and conversions are uncapped, while offer and seat limits are used to differentiate the lower plans.

Trackdesk is particularly attractive when the network wants more predictable scaling economics and more of the daily work to remain manageable without additional tooling.

Trackdesk vs TUNE Pricing

Pricing is one of the largest differences between Trackdesk and TUNE because the two platforms attach commercial value to different parts of the network.

Trackdesk Pricing

Trackdesk currently publishes three standard Network plans.

Seed Network costs $449 per month. It includes three seats and up to 200 active offers. The plan also includes basic fraud protection, offer caps and traffic controls. Affiliate partners, advertisers, clicks and conversions remain uncapped at this tier.

Growth Network has a standard price of $999 per month. Growth increases the account to 10 seats and removes the offer limit. It also adds advanced fraud protection, white-label capabilities, a custom domain, Full API access and dedicated customer success.

Network PLUS starts at $1,499 per month. It is intended for networks requiring workflows outside the standard configuration and can include custom development and private infrastructure. Seats and active offers are uncapped.

Across all three plans, Trackdesk lists affiliate partners, advertisers, clicks and conversions as uncapped. For networks exceeding approximately 20 million clicks per month, Trackdesk notes that private infrastructure may be required.

Trackdesk also offers both monthly and annual billing. For a network evaluating a replacement platform, the monthly option means the production environment can be proven without immediately tying the purchasing decision to another annual contract.

TUNE Pricing

TUNE currently publishes two Network options. Network Enterprise costs $899 per month paid annually.

The plan includes unlimited active offers and unlimited active partners together with real-time reporting, custom application and tracking domains, basic and advanced fraud tools, performance automation, advanced targeting, Advanced Commissioning, Partner API access, and a Complete 2-Way API.

The second option is Contract, where pricing is customized. This option adds a dedicated customer success manager, Fully Automated Event Delivery, migration and product training. An additional cost consideration is TUNE Pay, which is marked as an optional add-on on both Network plans rather than being included in the Enterprise subscription. Third-party payment integrations are available separately.

TUNE's billing documentation provides another important detail: subscription charges are billed in advance, while usage is billed in arrears. The current public Network pricing page does not display the numerical usage thresholds or overage schedule, so networks should request these figures as part of the commercial proposal.

Which Platform Is Cheaper?

The simple answer is that Trackdesk has the lower entry price, but the closest equivalent plans need more context.

Trackdesk Seed costs $449 per month compared with TUNE Enterprise at $899 per month. However, Seed is limited to 200 active offers and three seats, while TUNE Enterprise includes unlimited active offers and partners.

For a larger network, Trackdesk Growth is a way more relevant comparison. Its standard price is $999 per month, which is $100 above TUNE Enterprise's $899 monthly equivalent. At that point, the difference moves away from the subscription price.

Trackdesk Growth keeps clicks, conversions and advertisers uncapped and can be purchased monthly. TUNE Enterprise is paid annually, its billing policy separately references usage charges, and TUNE Pay remains an optional add-on.

A network therefore needs to model the total configuration rather than comparing $999 with $899.

The useful inputs are:

  • monthly clicks and conversions;
  • number of active offers;
  • advertiser accounts;
  • required seats;
  • payment workflows;
  • API requirements;
  • migration requirements;
  • usage charges under the specific TUNE agreement.

For a network where traffic, conversions or advertiser count are growing quickly, Trackdesk's uncapped model can produce a better result over twelve months.

How Traffic Growth Changes the Cost

This is where the commercial distinction becomes more important.

Trackdesk explicitly lists uncapped clicks and conversions across all current Network plans. It also does not meter affiliate partners or advertiser accounts. The main infrastructure qualification appears above approximately 20 million monthly clicks, where a private environment may be required.

TUNE publishes unlimited active offers and partners but does not display equivalent click or conversion limits on the public Network pricing page. Its billing policy nevertheless confirms that usage is invoiced in arrears.

For a network, this distinction can matter more than the base subscription.

Traffic volume and network margin do not always grow at the same rate. Adding a high-volume publisher can produce millions of additional clicks without creating an equivalent increase in the amount the network retains.

A pricing structure that makes additional tracking volume more expensive can therefore influence which affiliates are commercially viable to onboard.

There is a real customer example of this effect in the Leadgenia migration case study. The finance and insurance network reported that click-based costs in its previous TUNE setup made some additional traffic difficult to justify commercially. After moving to Trackdesk, Leadgenia reported a 66% reduction in platform costs and said that removing click-based pricing allowed it to accept more traffic without the same concern about margin.

That 66% figure is Leadgenia's own outcome rather than a universal saving for every TUNE customer. Its value is that it demonstrates how different pricing structures can affect a real network once traffic volume becomes substantial.

Contracts and Trial Terms

Contract flexibility is another area where Trackdesk has a practical advantage.

Trackdesk provides an assisted 14-day free trial for all Network plans and supports monthly as well as annual billing. The trial includes access to support, while a network can also engage the implementation team when a more complex setup needs to be validated.

TUNE's published $899 Network Enterprise rate is paid annually. The Contract plan follows individually negotiated commercial terms.

TUNE does document a longer free-trial period, but the qualification matters. Its official billing policy says that new customers governed by the online agreement receive a 30-day trial before the first invoice. Customers on individual contracts are governed by their contract terms instead.

The difference is therefore not simply 14 days versus 30 days.

For a network buyer, the more significant distinction is what happens after evaluation. Trackdesk can remain on monthly billing, while TUNE's published Enterprise rate is tied to annual payment. This is especially relevant for existing TUNE customers approaching renewal. Starting a parallel evaluation before the renewal date gives the network time to compare real attribution, reporting and costs before deciding whether another annual commitment makes sense.

Migration from TUNE to Trackdesk

Migration is one of the clearest differences between the standard offers.

Trackdesk provides managed migration at no additional cost. The Trackdesk TUNE migration process covers the existing offer structure, commission logic, postbacks, payout rules and other relevant network configuration.

The migration does not require an immediate hard cutover.

Trackdesk can run alongside the existing TUNE account while the network sends comparable traffic through both environments and reconciles attribution against its own reports. The final cutover occurs after the numbers have been validated.

This is particularly useful when recurring conversions, advertiser-specific postbacks or complex commission rules make a one-day platform replacement unnecessarily risky.

TUNE also provides technical documentation for companies migrating to TUNE. Its migration guide explains how to import advertisers, offers and partners, configure tracking and temporarily keep statistics visible in both the old system and TUNE. That documentation should not, however, be confused with the managed Platform Migration entitlement in TUNE's plan structure.

On TUNE's current Network offering, Platform Migration is unavailable on Enterprise and is associated with the custom Contract tier. A company can still use TUNE's documented import and transition procedures, but managed platform migration is not included with the $899 Enterprise plan.

This gives Trackdesk the stronger standard migration package: the network receives free technical migration assistance and can validate the replacement environment in parallel without first moving to a custom-priced tier.

Tracking and Attribution

Both platforms can handle the tracking architecture expected from an established affiliate network.

TUNE supports server-side postbacks, pixels and configurable attribution at offer level. Its network architecture gives administrators detailed control over offers, advertiser relationships, partner access, targeting and conversion behavior. TUNE also supports multiple payout metrics independently on the advertiser and partner sides. For example, a network can collect advertiser revenue using one metric while compensating the affiliate using another.

Trackdesk also supports S2S postbacks, pixels and other tracking methods while connecting conversions to affiliates, offers and advertisers inside the same Network environment. Advertisers can receive restricted accounts where they see their own clicks, conversions, revenue and reporting without receiving visibility into unrelated network data or affiliate payouts.

For ordinary CPA or CPL tracking, both platforms cover the requirement. The more useful test is how they handle the network's difficult cases: multiple conversion types, delayed approvals, advertiser-specific values, partner exceptions, recurring commissions and traffic that needs to be reconciled before payout.

Reporting and Daily Network Operations

TUNE has a mature reporting environment and remains strong for networks with technical teams that want granular data access.

Its Network plan includes real-time reporting, Time-to-Action reporting, Partner API access, the Complete 2-Way API and automated event delivery. These capabilities make TUNE suitable for businesses that expect to move significant amounts of affiliate data into their own reporting or operational infrastructure.

Trackdesk puts more emphasis on giving the operating team a flexible interface before external tooling is required.

Affiliate managers can work with conversion statuses, partner performance, payouts, EPC and other network metrics inside the platform, while advertiser dashboards isolate the data relevant to each client. The API remains available when a network needs to connect that environment to its own systems.

Leadgenia described this as one of the practical differences after moving from TUNE. Its team said some previous reporting required exports and custom macros, whereas Trackdesk allowed more analysis and status comparison directly inside the platform.

That does not mean TUNE lacks reporting. It illustrates the difference between a platform optimized heavily for configurability and data access and one that tries to keep more routine affiliate operations accessible to the network team itself.

Commission Models

Both platforms offer considerable flexibility around partner compensation.

TUNE supports five primary payout structures:

  • CPA / Cost per Conversion;
  • CPS / percentage of sale;
  • CPA plus CPS;
  • CPC;
  • CPM.

Revenue and affiliate payout can also use different methods, and networks can configure custom payouts for individual partners. Its current Network plan also includes Advanced Commissioning, which makes TUNE a strong option when a network already has complex partner agreements modeled around its existing setup.

Trackdesk uses multiple conversion types as the base of its commission structure. Revenue and affiliate payout can be fixed or percentage-based, while recurrence can be configured as one-time, limited or unlimited. Networks can create multiple conversion types, different currencies, affiliate-specific payouts and tiered commissions inside an offer. Additional payout tooling includes automated affiliate tiers, custom payout rules and multi-level commission structures.

For iGaming operations, Trackdesk can also apply player-level RevShare to metrics such as NGR or deposits while conventional CPA, CPL or other conversion commissions remain active on the same offer.

Neither platform should therefore be selected based on the checkbox "supports CPA." Both go much further.

The relevant test is whether the network can reproduce its hardest live agreement, including GEO differences, partner exceptions, recurring events and advertiser-specific rules, without adding manual reconciliation outside the platform.

Affiliate and Partner Payments

TUNE provides both third-party payment integrations and its own payment product. The current Network plan lists third-party payment integrations among its standard capabilities, while TUNE Pay is an optional add-on for Enterprise and Contract customers.

TUNE's documentation also supports invoicing workflows for partners, with external providers used when the network handles actual transfers outside TUNE Pay.

Trackdesk handles affiliate balances and settlements inside its billing environment and supports payout workflows through PayPal, Wise, Tipalti, bank transfer and supported cryptocurrency options. Tipalti can also be used for automated payment synchronization.

A large network should compare the payment providers it already uses, supported countries, currencies, transfer fees and internal accounting requirements.

API and Automation

TUNE remains particularly strong in conventional API access. The current Network package includes a Partner API and Complete 2-Way API, alongside performance automation and fully automated event delivery. This gives technical teams broad control over how TUNE communicates with internal systems and external partner infrastructure.

For businesses with an established engineering layer around HasOffers/TUNE, that maturity can be a legitimate reason not to migrate simply for the sake of using a newer platform.

Trackdesk also provides API access, with Full API included on Growth Network and higher. Its larger distinction is how that API is exposed to AI tools.

MCP and AI Operations

Trackdesk has a clear advantage in native MCP support. Its hosted MCP server connects MCP-compatible clients directly to the Trackdesk public API. The AI assistant can read data and execute actions, with its capabilities restricted by the permissions assigned to the personal access token. That means an authorized client can do more than answer questions about performance. It can participate in operational workflows where the underlying API permission allows the action.

Trackdesk hosts the MCP endpoint itself, so the network does not need to build or maintain an additional middleware service simply to expose its API to an MCP-compatible tool.

As of September 2026, TUNE does not publicly document a native MCP server.

Advertiser Management

Advertiser access deserves attention because an affiliate network is not simply a large affiliate program. Trackdesk Network accounts can create uncapped advertiser accounts and provide individual users with restricted access to their own dashboards and reports. Advertisers can see their own offers, revenue and conversion performance without visibility into other advertisers or sensitive affiliate payout information.

TUNE also has a dedicated advertiser system. Network administrators can create advertiser accounts, assign offers to them and allow advertiser users to manage permitted parts of those offers through their own interface.

Both platforms therefore support the advertiser side of network operations. The commercial difference is easier to identify on Trackdesk because the Network pricing page explicitly lists advertisers as uncapped. TUNE's current Network pricing page does not publish a numerical advertiser-account allowance.

Security and Compliance

Both companies provide established security credentials, but they use different frameworks.

Trackdesk is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and describes its privacy framework as aligned with GDPR, CCPA and CPRA requirements.

TUNE maintains SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II audit coverage and GDPR-related controls.

These credentials should not be treated as interchangeable or used to claim that one platform is inherently safer. For most networks, both products have credible enterprise security programs. The right choice depends on the buyer's own compliance checklist.

Trackdesk vs TUNE Reviews

Current verified review data favors Trackdesk, both in rating and review volume.

G2 currently lists Trackdesk at 4.8/5 across 343 reviews, compared with TUNE at 4.2/5 across 117 reviews

Capterra currently lists Trackdesk at 4.8/5 across 140 reviews, while TUNE has 4.6/5 across 63 reviews

The written feedback adds more context. Recent Trackdesk reviews commonly mention ease of use, tracking reliability and straightforward day-to-day management, while some reviewers ask for deeper reporting or customization capabilities. G2's current TUNE review summary highlights reporting and data management as strengths while also identifying a steep learning curve around more complex configurations.

A Network That Actually Migrated from TUNE to Trackdesk

A direct customer migration is particularly useful in this comparison because it shows what changed outside a feature matrix. Leadgenia is a finance and insurance affiliate network that previously ran on TUNE. The company spent two months evaluating five alternative platforms before selecting Trackdesk.

Leadgenia identified three main issues with its previous environment: its historical click-based pricing made some traffic expensive to accept, reporting involved manual exports and custom macros, and the platform's cost had become difficult to justify as the network scaled.

After migration, Leadgenia reported:

  • 66% lower platform costs;
  • the ability to accept additional traffic without paying for more clicks;
  • more reporting handled directly in the platform;
  • simpler affiliate onboarding;
  • a managed migration and onboarding process.

The result should not be interpreted as a prediction that every TUNE customer will save 66% by moving. Leadgenia's outcome reflects its own TUNE agreement, traffic profile and operational requirements.

It does, however, provide evidence that the differences between the two platforms can become financially meaningful once a network has enough real production traffic.

Where TUNE Has the Advantage

TUNE should not be dismissed simply because Trackdesk has a newer pricing model or interface.

For a network that already has a mature TUNE implementation, the Complete 2-Way API, Advanced Commissioning, performance automation and long-established network architecture can be substantial advantages. Unlimited active offers are also available directly on the $899 Enterprise plan, whereas Trackdesk requires Growth at its standard $999 price before the offer limit disappears.

TUNE may therefore be the better fit when a network has already built internal systems around its API, relies heavily on specific TUNE workflows and does not see traffic-based economics or annual commitment as meaningful constraints.

Migrating a complex network also carries its own cost even when the vendor provides migration support. If TUNE is already handling the required workflows reliably and its total commercial terms remain competitive, staying on the existing infrastructure can be the rational decision.

Where Trackdesk Has the Advantage

Trackdesk's strongest case becomes visible when the network is still growing or is actively reconsidering the economics of its infrastructure. Its published Network plans provide uncapped affiliates, advertisers, clicks and conversions, monthly billing is available, and managed free migration can be included without moving to a custom enterprise contract.

Trackdesk also has a current advantage in AI-native operations through MCP, while advertiser dashboards and a more recent interface can reduce how much custom reporting or middleware the operating team needs for routine work.

The review data currently favors Trackdesk as well, although that should remain supporting evidence rather than the primary purchasing argument. The argument is that a network buying the platform today may be able to get the tracking scale, advertiser management and commission flexibility it needs from Trackdesk with fewer contractual and volume constraints, while retaining API access and gaining newer operational capabilities such as MCP.

Trackdesk vs TUNE: Which One Should You Choose?

TUNE remains a strong choice for established networks that need a highly configurable platform, extensive conventional API access and mature partner-management infrastructure.

Its Network Enterprise plan includes unlimited active partners and offers, Advanced Commissioning, automation, fraud controls and the Complete 2-Way API. For organizations already deeply integrated with TUNE, those capabilities can outweigh the benefit of switching.

The main commercial considerations are the $899-per-month annual commitment, separately billed usage, optional TUNE Pay and the fact that managed Platform Migration is not included with Network Enterprise.

Trackdesk is generally the stronger fit for networks that prioritize predictable scaling costs, contract flexibility and a more modern operating model.

Seed gives smaller networks an entry point at $449 per month. Growth provides the more complete network configuration at a standard $999 monthly price, while affiliates, advertisers, clicks and conversions remain uncapped. Monthly billing means the network does not have to make an annual commitment simply to use the standard product.

Trackdesk also has the stronger migration proposition for standard-plan buyers, because managed TUNE migration and parallel validation can be completed without moving to a custom-priced tier. The native MCP server creates another practical difference for teams beginning to use AI inside affiliate operations rather than only for reporting.

For a TUNE customer approaching renewal, the sensible comparison is therefore not a feature checklist. Run Trackdesk alongside the existing TUNE environment, reproduce the network's most complicated offers and commission structures, reconcile the conversion data and calculate the twelve-month cost using actual production volume.

If TUNE still provides the better operational and commercial result, renewal is easy to justify. If Trackdesk matches the required workflows while reducing the constraints around traffic, contracts or daily operations, the alternative has already been validated before the decision needs to be made.

FAQ

Is Trackdesk better than TUNE?

Trackdesk is generally the stronger option for affiliate networks that prioritize uncapped clicks and conversions, uncapped advertiser accounts, monthly billing, managed migration and native MCP access.

How much does Trackdesk cost for an affiliate network?

Standard Trackdesk Network pricing currently starts at $449 per month for Seed Network. Growth Network has a standard price of $999 per month, while Network PLUS starts at $1,499 per month. Temporary promotional discounts are excluded from these figures.

Is Trackdesk cheaper than TUNE?

Trackdesk has the lower starting price, at $449 per month compared with TUNE Enterprise at $899 per month paid annually. The plans are not equivalent, however: Trackdesk Seed has a 200-offer limit, while TUNE Enterprise includes unlimited active offers. Trackdesk Growth removes the offer limit and has a standard price of $999 per month. The final comparison should therefore include usage, payment add-ons, seats and contract terms.

Does TUNE charge usage fees?

TUNE's official billing policy states that subscription charges are billed in advance while usage is billed in arrears. The public Network pricing page does not currently disclose the numerical usage schedule, so networks should confirm the applicable allowances and charges before signing.

Does TUNE require an annual contract?

The published TUNE Network Enterprise price of $899 per month is paid annually. TUNE's custom Contract tier is governed by the individually agreed commercial terms.

Does Trackdesk require an annual contract?

No. Trackdesk Network plans provide monthly and annual billing options.

Does TUNE offer a free trial?

TUNE's billing policy states that new customers governed by its online agreement receive a 30-day free trial. Customers on individual contracts follow the terms of those contracts, so a Network buyer should confirm trial eligibility for the specific agreement.

Does Trackdesk offer a free trial?

Yes. Trackdesk currently provides an assisted 14-day free trial for all its Affiliate Network plans.

Can I migrate from TUNE to Trackdesk without shutting TUNE down immediately?

Yes. Trackdesk supports parallel validation during migration. The existing TUNE environment can remain active while the offers, tracking, postbacks and commission logic are reproduced and the results are reconciled before cutover.

Is migration included with TUNE Network Enterprise?

No. Platform Migration is unavailable on TUNE's Network Enterprise plan and is available with its custom Contract offering. TUNE separately publishes technical documentation that customers can use when importing data and transitioning from another system.

Does TUNE Pay come with Network Enterprise?

No. TUNE currently lists TUNE Pay as an Optional Add-On on both Network Enterprise and Contract. Third-party payment integrations are included among the Network platform capabilities.

Which platform has better API access?

Both have substantial API capabilities. TUNE's Network offering includes a Partner API and Complete 2-Way API, making it particularly strong for mature custom integrations. Trackdesk provides Full API access on Growth Network and higher and also exposes its API through a hosted MCP server.

Does TUNE have an MCP server?

TUNE does not currently publish a native MCP server. Its existing APIs can be connected to AI systems through custom development.

Trackdesk provides a hosted MCP server that can both read data and execute permitted API actions according to the permissions attached to the access token.

Are clicks and conversions unlimited with Trackdesk?

Trackdesk lists clicks and conversions as uncapped across all current Network plans. For traffic above approximately 20 million clicks per month, private infrastructure may be required.

Is there any case study of a company that actually migrated from TUNE to Trackdesk?

Yes. Leadgenia, a finance and insurance affiliate network, migrated from TUNE after evaluating five alternatives and reported a 66% reduction in platform costs. That result reflects Leadgenia's particular traffic profile and previous contract rather than a guaranteed saving for every TUNE user.
